The group format creates an environment where withdrawal is no longer an option. The process provides an opportunity to learn and utilize a variety of social skills, such as anger management, impulse control, conflict resolution, and communication. This model requires the client to cope with issues as they arise and acknowledge the consequences of his actions. Eventually students also learn how to predict the consequences of their actions.
